County Maps: Armstrong

Description: Fast easy flush down mostly rip-rapped channel in a well‑populated valley with mostly a tour of peoples' back yards. Not all scenic. [Reported 1993]

Difficulties: There are a few strainers.

Shuttle: To get to the put-in, take State Route 68 west from East Brady for about 3.8 miles to the confluence of Sugar Run with Pine Run. The take‑out is back in East Brady on the Allegheny River, on river right, just upstream of the State Route 68 Bridge at a Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Access Area.

Gauge: None.

Normal Wet Period: No available statistics on seasons. Since this section is tiny, it should normally be runnable only after a heavy rain or during spring snowmelt.
